ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT

The Governing Board of the Ohio Association of Community Colleges (OACC) invites nominations and applications for the position of President. As the primary spokesperson for Ohio’s community colleges, the President is charged with developing the academic and educational mission of the organization while representing and promoting the interests of the member institutions in the legislative process. The new President will be expected to assume office in July 2014 or as soon thereafter as feasible.

VICE PRESIDENT, ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT AND STUDENT SERVICES

As the front door to higher education in Ohio, Columbus State Community College seeks an experienced strategic and visionary leader to further advance the institution’s mission and partnerships as the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Services. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President is the chief student affairs officer and a member of the President’s Cabinet. The VP, EMSS oversees programs and services related to creating a campus climate that promotes the academic achievement, student success and personal development of all students and fosters collaborative relationships among students, faculty and staff.

VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

As the front door to higher education in Ohio, Columbus State Community College seeks an experienced strategic and visionary leader to further advance the institution’s mission and partnerships as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Reporting directly to the President, the VP, M&C is the chief marketing, communications and public relations officer for the college, and a member of the President’s Cabinet. This position leads and manages the college's marketing functions, internal and external communications, media and public relations, community and government relations, special events and publications production and creative writing functions.

DIRECTOR OF GATEWAY OPERATIONS

The Director of Gateway Operations supervises and oversees office planning, organization, coordination and reporting of operations and student services for admissions, retention, academic advising, access, registration and records. The position is responsible for maintaining consistency in policy and practice and for ensuring the employment of proven principles of excellent customer service in enrollment management. The position reports directly to the Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the President and works closely with senior management and the Gateway management team to develop and implement strategies that will achieve the College’s qualitative and quantitative enrollment and retention goals.

ACADEMIC DEPARTMENT CHAIR, BUSINESS

The chair provides leadership to the Business department within the School of Business, Information and Health Support Technologies.  Leadership includes ensuring that the curriculum is relevant, current and of high quality, student learning is assessed annually, programs are reviewed every three years, and semester schedules are developed to meet the needs of students while ensuring optimal use of college resources.  Additionally, the chair will recruit, hire and evaluate qualified faculty, manage the resources of the department including the accounting learning center, and support the College's recruitment, retention and success initiatives.

VICE PRESIDENT, ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

The position supervises and provides leadership, vision, and administrative management for all academic programs at the college.  The vice president will work with all college team members in support of a positive work environment, college effectiveness and support for student success.
